Seafood Promotion, 20 - 26 August 2007
Fresh seafood prepared to perfection, inspired by recipes from different corners of the globe: The Deli is taking the best of the seven seas and serving it up on a platter especially for you.

Experience the aromatic fragrance of Vietnamese herbs and steamed rice - a definite companion to our Marinated Seafood Baked in Banana leaves.

Or, if you want a bit of everything, try the Seafood 'Mixed Grill', served with a classic French sauce made from a combination of mayonnaise, mustard, capers, chopped gherkins, herbs and anchovies - all to bring out the flavors of the sea. This French inspiration comes accompanied by a seasonal salad and French fried potatoes.

The perfect compliment to these dishes is a chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc from the Good Hope Winery in South Africa - compliments of the Warehouse.

Allons, enfants de la Patrie!. 16 to 22 April 2007

The French revolution introduced the tri-colour flag, which has its own colourful history. Blue, graced by a gold fleur-de-lis, represented a royal colour of loyalty and was originally the colour of the flag flown at Charlemagne's coronation. Red represented the kingdom, and white stood for the colour of the French navy. The Revolution also established the rooster as the representation of the nation's identity. Today it is featured on stamps and coins in France. The inspiring "La Marseillaise," now the French national anthem, was composed in 1792 and later adopted as a marching song of the Revolution.

Happy Birthday, France
